Yangon boat party sends off Union Bar and Grill
In a blow to the Yangon bar scene, Union Bar and Grill’s ship sailed—quite literally—when it marked its closure with a cruise on the Yangon river.
But revellers turned what might have been a sad event into a big ol’ boat party on the Royal Irrawaddy on Saturday (May 4).
Signature cocktails of the bar were served on board to the tunes of DJ Adam Nicholas.
And although it may be hard to say goodbye to Union after six years, taking its place on 92 Strand Road is the new Port Autonomy, which opens on May 6.
