Myanmar will shorten its nightly curfew by two hours starting from tomorrow, the government’s Covid-19 response committee announced.

Face mask use will be compulsory in public throughout Yangon from tomorrow (May 13) to combat the spread of the coronavirus, according to reports.

The UN Security Council will hold a videoconference to discuss the escalation of violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state and the effect of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, diplomatic sources said Monday.
