Five firefighters were injured today when two fire trucks collided in Mandalay—a dramatic moment caught on a camera by one of the crew members.
The fire trucks were attending a condo fire on 23 Street in Aung Myay Thar Zan township’s Amara Htarni ward when one truck smashed into the side of another at the intersection of 22 and 81 streets at about 11.30am.
The impact flipped one of the vehicles over and five of the crew members were rushed to Mandalay General Hospital.
A spokesperson from the Mandalay Central Fire Department told Myanmar Mix that one firefighter broke his leg and another firefighter broke his arm, adding that the remaining three did not suffer serious injuries and all five are in a stable condition.
