Parami Pizza is famous for serving some of the best pizzas in Myanmar. That consistently mouth-watering wood-fired flavour simply does not get old. In fact, for the rest of November it's still buy-one-get-one-free on Yangon Door2Door and Food Panda.
But the restaurant has been busy revamping its menu—and pizzas are not the only great dishes included on it. Keeping that same authenticity and creativity, Parami serves must-try pastas, salads, chicken wings and even homemade cocktails delivered right to your door.
Pizzas start from just 8,000 kyats and now come in medium 10-inch sizes—still big enough to share or just eat all by yourself. The traditional Italian fare is perfect for any occasion and takes comfort food to the next level. Drool over the dishes below and then brighten up your week by ordering one, or two, or three.
That glorious photo above does not lie: these spicy chicken wings are literally that good. They come marinated in a piquant arrabbiata sauce that infuses them with a juicy tang. Plunge the wings into the accompanying salsa verde, a refreshing herby dip that goes well with a squeeze of lime.
We all know and love Parami for its pizzas. Now they are offering a 10-inch version – slightly smaller than its signature 12 inch, but with all the same deliciousness. Why not use this more compact doughy delight to sample a few new topping combinations? With liberal sprinklings of basil, pine nuts, parmesan and pistachio, the “Pesto Pizza” could be your new usual. “Pizza D’Art” boasts baked pork meatballs, chilli and mozzarella, while the Mix team’s go-to, “Pizza Noche”, has an unbeatable mix of spinach, mozzarella, blue cheese and walnut. There are so many choices, so feel free to go half and half in order to find your favourite.
Parami can bring a range of tasty salads right to your door, each with its own set of fresh and creative ingredients. Their revamped menu features a vegan chickpea salad with hummus, herb croutons and cherry tomatoes among other flavourful additions. Also try the beetroot and goat’s cheese base or the truffled mushrooms and almonds dish—they are all healthy and delicious.
With more than a dozen hearty pastas, Parami embraces an Italian flair that reimagines classics and delivers on tried-and-tested recipes as well. Whether you relish the flavours of the linguine Bolognese or delve into crispy bacon, pork and red wine jus of the pumpkin risotto, don’t forget to order Parami’s trademark crusty garlic bread.
We miss bars, and when Parami reopens once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we will be propped up against theirs, enjoying a few tipples. In the meantime, their craft cocktails can come directly to you. Made by the best mixologists in town, the original concoctions include “Amalfi Sour”, a heady mix of amaretto, passionfruit, pineapple juice and pressed lime. “Horse’s Neck”—a cocktail you can also find in downtown joint Gekko—is a punchy whisky and ginger beer combo with hints of lime and bitter.
So much thought and work goes into these drinks that each choice is a unique taste experience in itself. Take the house-made spiced dram, for instance, a core flavour of the “Pineapple Gen-Gen” that takes six days to make. We’re getting tipsy in style here, serious style.
