Yesterday the ministry announced the most recent death of a patient, an 85-year-old man from Pabedan township in downtown Yangon.
The man—who was diabetic and had a heart disease—developed a cough and fever before being admitted to Yangon General Hospital on April 8.
Five patients who tested positive on April 12 and 13 attended a religious ceremony in Yangon’s Insein township, said the ministry, among them a 38-year-old man who developed mild symptoms on April 6.
