Firefighters fought a huge blaze at a wax storage house in Yangon’s Dagon Seikkan township last night.

The fire started about 7pm in industrial zone 1 and took about three hours to put under control.

No casualties have been reported so far, according to the Yangon Fire Services Department, thought at least five people were hurt in the incident.

Dagon Seikkan in eastern Yangon grew as a satellite town in the 1990s and is now peppered with factories as well as slums.
