Chickpea curry
This is one of my favourite dishes and can work nicely for vegetarians (just replace the chicken powder with a little sugar). It’s a sweet meal that’s easy to chew, so grandpa doesn’t need to worry about putting his dentures in either.
Preparation time: 10-20 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Overall time: 1 hour 10-20 minutes

3 pieces of onion
1 diced tomato
1 tablespoon of oil
2 tablespoons of salt
1 tablespoon of chicken powder
A little turmeric
Instructions
- Wash the chickpeas and bring them to boil, then put them on a low heat for 30 minutes. When the chickpeas are cooked, remove them from the stove .
- Put the pan on the stove and when it’s hot, put in the oil and fry the onions until they turn golden brown (be careful not to burn them).
- Then add the diced tomato and fry it until it's soft.
- Throw in the turmeric and then the cooked chickpeas, salt and chicken powder, mix it together and cover it with a pan. Leave that for three minutes and then serve.
